Near Fine, Limited Edition, one of 1500 copies printed, 4to, 11" x 8 3/4." Black-and-white pictorial paper wrappers with staple binding. Back cover is a gold-brown color. No lettering to spine. Covers have slightly bumped tips, slight fading along spine, and a small bit of sticker residue on back, else clean and intact, binding tight. Pages pristine and intact. Many black-and-white illustrations, which show the artist's work. 31 pp., including illustrations. Front colophon: "1500 copies printed on Mohawke Superfine by Congress Printing Company, Chicago." A catalog published on the occasion of an exhibition that was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago in 1984. The exhibition featured the work of Dieter Roth (1930-1998), a Swiss artist best-known for his artists' books, prints, sculptures, and experimental art that utilized food and other biodegradable materials. The exhibition focused on Roth's artworks from the collection of Dr. Ira G. Wool, one of his close friends. A sampling of the works in this catalog are some of Roth's prints, drawings, and sculptures. Also included is discussion on Roth's connection with avant-garde art movements such as Fluxus.
