Notes: Very Good, 4to, 11" x 8 1/2." No date, circa 1963-1964. White paper wrappers with staple binding. Black lettering and color illustration on front. No lettering on spine. Covers have slight browning or darkening, tiny spots of foxing or dampstaining, and a tiny chip in upper-right corner on front, else clean and intact, binding tight. Pages have light age toning, else pristine and intact. Replete with black-and-white illustrations. One color frontispiece included. 46 pp., including illustrations. Published on the occasion of an exhibition that was presented at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), San Francisco Museum of Art, Fort Worth Art Center, and Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center from 1963-1964. The show featured the paintings of Nathan Oliveira (1928-2010), a Portuguese-American painter, sculptor, and printmaker based in the Bay Area. The illustrations contained herein depict Oliveira's semi-abstract painted portraits of spectral figures.
