Covers have offsetting, light soiling, and foxing, affixed to front pastedown are two newspaper clippings, one from Lavery's obituary, and a column by Bennett Cerf in which he references Lavery, both have left toning en verso. Previous owner's signature in ink to front endpaper, binding tight. Pages lightly age-toned. Replete with black-and-white plates in back. 277 pp. Autobiography of John Lavery (1856-1941), a Northern Irish painter of the Glasgow School. He is best known for his portraits and war paintings.
