No date, circa 1940s. Black-and-white wrappers with illustration on front cover by Aubrey Beardsley. White spine with no lettering. Covers clean and intact but have corner and edge wear and a vertical wrinkle running down the length of the front cover. Spine slightly chipped. Pages age-toned, else pristine and intact. A few black-and-white interspersed within the text. 81 pp., including illustrations. A catalog from Goodspeed's Book Shop in Boston, Massachusetts principally featuring books from the 1890s with a few titles and materials dating to the decades before and after. Goodspeed's Book Shop was founded by Charles Eliot Goodspeed in 1898. Charles's bookstore became well-known for its collection of fine books, autographs, maps, and prints. After Charles passed away, his son, George Talbot Goodspeed, took over the store. George ran the business until 1995, when he decided to close the physical location. George had the intention of creating an online bookstore but he passed away in 1997.
