Notes: A Very Good book in a Very Good dust jacket, 8vo, 7 1/2" x 10 1/2." Beige paper wrappers with staple binding in a black-and-white pictorial paper dust jacket. No lettering to either spine. Front and back panels feature a portrait photograph of Francis Bacon in his studio. Covers have slightly bumped tips, else pristine and intact, binding tight. Dust jacket has slight wear to extremities, else clean and intact. Pages pristine and intact except for slight bumping to tips of fore-edge. Features three color plates of Bacon's three triptychs. Unpaginated, c. 12 pp., including plates. Published on the occasion of an exhibition at Thomas Gibson Fine Art Ltd. in London. The show featured Francis Bacon 1909-1992), an Irish-British artist best-known for his darkly surreal and unsettling portraits.
