A fascinating biographical account about Kai Donner (1888-1935), a Finnish linguist, ethnographer, and politician, written by Jorn Donner (1933-2020), Kai's son. In the early twentieth century, Kai undertook several expeditions to Siberia to study the languages and culture of the Finno-Ugric peoples. Jorn was an author, film director, and politician. Jorn notes that he traveled to and photographed some of the same places in Siberia that Kai had visited.
