Notes: Very Good 9 1/2" X 7 1/2" perfectbound art exhibit catalog in wraparound pictorial wraps featuring a detail of the 1965 Jules Olitski painting, 'Tut Pink' to front, back, and spine, some very minor shelf wear to bottom edge, tips lightly bumped, else clean, tightly bound, and unmarked throughout. Includes the original 18" x 7 1/2" invitation that features the detail of 'Tut Pink' to one side and the 1968 piece, 'Bem-Two' to the reverse, no visible shelf wear. Unpaginated, includes an excerpted introductory essay by curator and critic, Karen Wilkin, a short excerpt by Rosalind Krauss, a list of public collections, and a seven-page full-color tissue-guarded segment showcasing seven different Jules Olitski pieces on progressively wider paper sizes to set the color fields side-by-side. An unusual catalog design created by designer and artist Gigi Obrecht. This catalog was published in conjunction with an exhibition held at Hackett Mill in San Francisco, California October 18 to December 20, 2013.
