Exhibition Catalog from the personal library of Robert Bechtle and Whitney Chadwick, staple-bound, stiff white wrap in publisher’s dust jacket with full-color pictorial wrap, white text to front, spine, and back, and Stony Brook University logos to back. Very minor aging and foxing to front and back covers, minor sunning and aging to edges, otherwise clean and tightly bound. Dust jacket showing minor shelf wear to spine and creases near spine, otherwise excellent. Unpaginated. Replete with full-color images of Susan Shatter’s art throughout. Includes foreword by Donald Kuspit, information on Shatter, and acknowledgements by Gallery Director Rhona Cooper. A catalog of Shatter’s painted works that were on display at Stony Brook University from November 11 to December 13, 2003. Kuspit praises Shatter for her portrayals of land and sea, but also her emotionally raw bodyscapes painted after Shatter was diagnosed with breast cancer. An inspirational collection of Shatter’s works showcasing her gift to capture dynamic landscapes and the therapeutic nature of her bodyscapes.
