Notes: Near Fine 10" x 11 1/2" in scarlet red cloth over boards, crisp gilt lettering to spine, sharp tips, only very minor shelf wear, scuffto top edge of back cover, very minor bump to top of spine, else clean and bright, tightly bound and unmarked throughout. Very Good pictorial dustjacket featuring a detail of Titian's ~1555 painting, "Venus With a Mirror" to front, and a detail of Tintoretto's 1578-80 painting, "Tarquin and Lucretia" to back cover, red and gold lettering to white spine, some curling to top edge of back panel, 1/4" closed tear to bottom edge of front panel, 3/4" closed tear to fore edge of front panel repaired with tape to the reverse, not price-clipped, and protected by a paper-backed mylar sleeve. 315pp. replete with 177 full-color and 22 black-and-white illustrations. Includes a Director's Foreword by Malcom Rogers of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and Henri Loyrette of Musee du Louvre, a Curator's Introduction by Frederick Ilchman, a map of Venice with major public curated commissions of the three painters, four essays by Frederick Ilchman, Patricia Fortini Brown, Linda Borean, and Robert Wald, a Catalogue with Prologue, and seven appendices including a Chronology, Bbliography, and Index. This publication was produced in cnjunction with an exhibition of the same name held at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston March 15, 2009 to August 16th, 2009, and at Musee du Louvre, Paris September 14, 2009 to January 4, 2010.
