Notes: Fine, 4to, 12" x 9." No date, circa 1971-1973. Orange paper wrappers with black lettering on front. No lettering on spine. Covers have slight fading along edges and spine and minuscule wear to extremities, else pristine and intact, binding tight. Pages pristine and intact. Replete with plates in black-and-white and color, many of which have protective tissue guards. Some of the plates have multiple illustrations; others are full-page. Three ephemera laid in: a clipping or announcement for one of Duquette's other shows and two copies of an exhibition list. Unpaginated, 3 pp. + 21 plates. Published on the occasion of an exhibition at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery that showed from December 1, 1972-January 23, 1972. The show featured Anthony "Tony" Duquette (1914-1999), an American artist best-known for his costumes, sculptures, and designs for stage and film. Duquette's sculptures, costumes, and designs contained herein are an excellent showcase of Duquette's artistry and personal style. They exemplify his unique use of diverse materials such as antlers, bones, animal skins, butterfly wings, crystals, mirrors, gold, and silver.
