Heavy, oversized copy, measuring 9" x 11" wide and tall, respectively, of a volume of the leading, influential pre-Weimar Republic German art and art history periodical, published for a short time in Wiesbaden, Germany. Bound in tall quarto format, edited by Guido Bagier, in overall Near Fine condition. Remarkably bright of interior, bound in blue cloth over boards and with gilt-lettered title over rust-brown leather title label to spine. Library reinforcing tape to gutters rear and front, making an extra-solid appearance. Illustrated, printed stiff card stock wraps to each issue, all and each bound in. Original lithographs facing pages 128 and 570, respectively. Published monthly and featured works of art history and criticism and reproduced black-and-white and full-color works of art in its pages and tipped-in works feature heavily, too.
