White and green illustrated paper over board over white and green quarter-cloth spine, featuring printed pattern illustrations of Yosemite scenery to front and back, dark green lettering to pasted paper label on spine, superior copy inside and out, with only the most minimal, unobtrusive wear to bindings and text-block. Very Good olive paper dust jacket, title written in pencil to spine, some sunning to spine and edges, minor wear to top edge, light markings to back, otherwise, clean and intact. [4] 84 pp., replete with full-color illustrations, "A Visit to the Yosemite Valley in 1872" by H.H. (Helen Hunt Jackson), and Introduction by Oscar Lewis. From the Introduction: "When, just short of a century ago, this account of a visit to the Yosemite Valley and its environs was written, its author was already well known to the reading public through her contributions of fiction, verse and travel articles to the magazines of the day." Publication number 137 of The Book Club of California. One of 450 copies produced.
