She has a significant presence in the city of Sacramento, where she taught at Sacramento State for thirty-one years. This is a beautiful catalog published on the occasion of a retrospective exhibition at the Crocker Art Museum 2017-2018. The exhibition featured a diverse assemblage of Rippon's ceramic art including plates, vessels, fruit, her statues of seated women who upturn stereotypes about the idealized female form in art, and playful sculptures in the vein of Funk Art.
