Miranda Culp and Jef Delman. Portola Valley. First Bite Press. 2023.
English, Chapbook Series #3, Fine, 12mo 7 ½ ” x 5 ⅞ ”, 17 pp.

Labeled as "an erotic education", this is the story of a young tailor learning to navigate the newly discovered landscape of feminine pleasures through the sensual teachings of four older women. Inspired by Helen Bannerman’s Little Black Sambo, originally about a guileless Tamil child’s interactions with a series of tigers and unfortunately co-opted and turned into an unacceptably racist children’s book by American publishers in the early 20th century. The version here explores the original intent of Bannerman’s tale, recasting the voracious tigers as lustfully voracious women. This 17 page short story is two-color letterpress printed on a Vandercook Universal III and hand sewn in lilac colored linen thread in the on-site bindery.  The Story was taken from The Canon of Aphrodisia by Jef Delman and Miranda Culp and the two full page illustrations were drawn by Laurelin Gilmore.
