Pages are pristine and intact. Replete with black-and-white illustrations and one full-color illustration to frontispiece. 127 pp. White dust jacket featuring illustration of The Duke of Cambridge and the Grenadier Guards at the Alma, minor edgewear.

Vol. 2. Very Good, oblong octavo, grey cloth over board, silver gilt stamped titling to spine, edgewear and bumping to top edge and spine, binding tight and no markings throughout. Some pages have minor creasing near gutter, but are intact and unmarked. Replete with black-and-white illustrations and one full-color illustration to frontispiece. 81 pp. Good white dust jacket featuring illustration of Gunner, Royal Horse Artillery, C. 1850 and black titling to cover, black lettering to spine, edgewear, soiling to front cover, sunning to back cover.

One of several works published by Historical Research Unit Publications in the 1970s, this text examines the various regiments of British infantry (Foot Guards, the Line and the Rifle Brigade) that made up the British Expeditionary Force and their appearance and experiences in the Crimea up to the end of 1854. Vol. 1 written by Michael Barthorp focuses on uniforms of the British Infantry and Vol. 2 written by Robert Wilkinson-Latham focuses on uniforms of the British Artillery.
