This stunning accordion-fold children's book features full-color illustrations of animals in their respective habitats on one side of the accordion, and then flips the perspective to behind, where they are pictured in black-and-white with a brief description of the name and noise each animal makes. Written and illustrated by spouses and artistic collaborators, Ingri and Edgar Parin d'Aulaire, who have been recognized for their other works, such as Abraham Lincoln and Book of Greek Myths, and their overall contribution to the Golden Age of illustrated children's books.
