Dust wrapper clean and intact overall except for slight chipping to the head and tail, front flap being price-clipped. 146 pp., including over 100 printed photographs and illustrations. Index to illustrations in the back. John Piper (1903-1992) was an English artist and author who worked in a variety of media including painting, photography, printmaking, and stained-glass design. He was an official artist for the British government during WWII, depicting the damage to churches and landmarks.
