Very Good wallet-like hardcover in tan cloth with red and blue decorative illustrations to spine and front and back panels, and gilt title label to spine. Light wear with minor fraying to edges and small soiling to front panel. A beautiful variation of the central Islamic text, the Koran (Qur'an), illustrated with red and blue decorative borders derived from the intricate designs of Italian-American printmaker and illustrator, Valenti Angelo, along with some illustrated marginal panels and text embellishments. English translation and introduction by Australian professor, Arthur Jeffery. Very Good blue denim cloth box case, some edgewear and light soiling to interior. The Monthly newsletter is present with very light toning. 

The Limited Editions Club was founded by publisher George Macy in 1929 with goal of delivering a monthly fine press edition of great works in literature, religion, history, philosophy, and poetry. The press worked with some of the best printers in the US and Europe, and sought the best artists to illustrate runs of 1500 or 2000 copies.
