Very Good + slipcase, red linen clamshell case with gilt to front and spine, red bow, sunning to front and spine, slight crease to back of spine, red leatherette interior, 366 pp. 12 paintings, 13 line drawings, and 5 decorative part-title borders, a tailpiece, and a colophon device by Y. G. Srimati. Translated from Sanskrit by the author. An ancient Indian collection of interwoven animal fables and moral tales designed to teach wisdom, practical life lessons, and political strategy. An original translation from Sanskrit, enriched by Y. G. Srimati’s signed illustrations, which together present this classic work as both a literary treasure and a visual masterpiece.
