Toning to front endpaper and blank pages before title, some dust stain to cover, mild bumping to head and tail, sharp tips, tightly bound, clean throughout. In a Very Good illustrated dust jacket, wear and closed 1/4" tear to top edge at head, shelf wear and scratches to front panel, toning to front flap, protected by paper-backed Mylar. Jacket and illustrations by Bernard Brussel-Smith, xviii, 121 + [3] pp. Baldwin's scathing second theatrical work created in response to widespread racial violence, based loosely on Emmett Till's murder and dedicated to Medgar Evers.
