Very Good folio, 12 1/2" x 9 3/4", softcover in white wraps with a color illustration to front panel and a sketch to back panel, red lettering to front panel and black lettering to spine. Minor creasing to spine and edges, some foxing and sunning, light toning in-verso, small spot of soiling, otherwise, tightly bound and attractive. Original glassine present in Good condition, notable sunning and chips to head and tail. Good yellowed slipcase, no lettering, 1 1/2" tear to tip, some exposed corners and tips, minor bumps, and overall sunning. This beautifully designed book brings together 98 works of the Post-Impressionist French artist and founding member of the avant-garde painters, Les Nabis, Pierre Bonnard, and showcases a variety of his lithographic pieces, from the landscapes he is known for, to posters and portraits. Lithographs printed by the Parisian-based Mourlot Brothers (Mourlot Frères), who are known for being pioneers in lithography printing, their effort to foster relationships between artist and printer, and for their long-lasting collaboration with the French art review magazine, Verve.
