Red cloth-covered boards in a multicolored pictorial paper dust jacket. Silver-foil lettering on book spine. White lettering on multicolored (mostly brown) pictorial dust jacket spine. Covers have mild wear along bottom edge, else pristine and intact, binding tight, sharp tips. Dust jacket has slight wear along top edge and light rubbing to panels and spine, else clean and intact. Pages pristine and intact. Replete with illustrations, 365 in total, 260 of which are in color. White lettering on dust jacket spine. SIGNED by Fletcher Benton in black ink on half-title: "To Joy and Edward, Warmest wishes, Fletcher [heart icon]." Beautiful monograph about Fletcher Benton (1931-2019), an American sculptor. Many of his sculptures are abstract and arguably Minimalist in appearance. He made kinetic art up until the 1970s after which he focused more on making sculptures. He frequently worked with steel and bronze. The plates show a variety of his works including the Kinetic series, Folded Square Alphabets, Balanced/Unbalanced series, works on paper, steel watercolors, Spring-It series, Truckin' Geos, and works in silver.
