White staplebound brochure with black text to front and back panels,  Inez Storer's 1989 mixed media piece Painter to front cover, selected exhibitions list to back cover, gold foil address label for Susan Cummins Gallery to back, clean, intact, and showing no visible shelfwear. Postcard features same image to front, event program to back, one bumped corner otherwise unmarked and pristine. Approximately 6 pp. including an essay by Oakland Museum's Chief Curator of Art, Phil Linhares, an excerpt from a 1994 interview with Inez Storer and Cameron Cartiere, and a short description of the award. Includes four additional full-color images of the artist's work, and one black and white photograph of the artist. From Linhares' essay: "Inez Storer extends the tradition of surrealism and fantasy with the substance that is nurtured by an interesting life lived among creative people. She shares the thoughts and experiences in visual form in a poetic way that invites our participation." The award reception accompanied an exhibition of the artist's work held February 9 to March 18, 1995 at the Falkirk Cultural Center in San Rafael, California and simultaneously January 30 to February 25th at the Susan Cummins Gallery in Mill Valley, California. Inez Storer is a mixed-media artist, and considered one of the painters of magical realism.
