Notes: Simple glue-repaired backstrip of brown cloth binding over boards, so handle with some care, but comprising a wing-folder housing a collection of 32 mounted, colored plates, collated as present and complete. 12 1/2" x 9 1/2" pamphlet of Introduction, heavily tone but clean and unmarked, First English Edition, scarce in the trade, and highlighting the collection, founded in 1918, of Modern Western Art, including the works of Ricard, Manet, Monet, Renoir, Pissarro, Signac, Sisley, Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec, Bastien-Lepage, Cezanne, Gauguin, Van-Gogh, Bonnard, Vuillard, Vlaminck, Derain, Marque, Matisse, and Picasso. Each plate is mounted on heavy card stock and tissue paper-guarded. Toning to tissue guards and card stock, but the plates are fresh and colorful. Moderate wear to and minor soiling of wing folder, but plates are fresh and colorful.
