No date, circa 1970. Very Good metallic gray paper folio with four closing flaps on back and one pamphlet and multiple leaves and plates laid in. Front of folio has embossed lettering: "Avedon." Folio has moderate edge wear and wrinkling, else clean and intact. Pamphlet, leaves, and plates laid in the folio each have slightly bumped tips and light age toning, else clean and intact. Replete with black-and-white illustrations. A unique exhibition catalogue published on the occasion of a show of the same name that was held from July 2-August 30, 1970 at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. The exhibition featured the photography of Richard Avedon. Avedon specialized in photographing portraits of historical figures and celebrities. The pamphlet includes introductory text about the show and Avedon and several small illustrations of his work. The folding poster features small numbered illustrations of Avedon's photographs in the exhibition. The semi-transparent leaf contains text in which Avedon explains how his photographs of the Chicago Conspiracy Trial were added last-minute to the exhibition and could not be included in the catalogue. The 10 plates each feature an illustration of one of Avedon's portrait photos.
