Stone, Rob, and Andrew Stone. Sheffield: Site Gallery Sheffield, 1996.
English, Very Good, SC, 8vo, 7" x 10", 28 pp.
ISBN: 1899926151

Black perfect bound, yellow lettering to front, no lettering to spine, light wear to front and back panels, otherwise, sharp tips, tightly bound, and unmarked throughout. 28 pp., replete with black-and-white and full-color images of installations by Andrew Stone. Includes background on works, essay by Rob Stone, and Andrew Stone: Selected Biography, Exhibitions, and Awards. Published in conjunction with the exhibition of the same name at the Site Gallery Sheffield from September 28 to November 16, 1996. From the essay: "This exhibition, Crowd Control, consists of the installations The Unwritten Constitution; Bothered (Black Rod); a revised version of The Nature of Their Joy; and a commercially produced edition of situationally multivalent beer-mats - You Are Here. It seems to bear witness to prevailingly terse, literal concision in a marshalling of the conventional representational armoury of the installation artist: photographs, videos, CCTV monitors and the like. It is work that emphasizes verisimilitude and the ability of evidential technology, with authority and immediacy, to represent the world." An exceptional show highlighting emerging figures in the video art field.
