Covers have light rubbing, slight edge wear, and browned edges, else pristine and intact, binding tight, sharp tips. Dust jacket has light age toning throughout, browned edges and spine, a few tiny chips at edges and head and tail of spine, and a small closed tear measuring 1/4" at bottom edge of back panel, else clean and intact, not price-clipped. Dust jacket protected in a paper-backed Mylar sleeve. Pages have light age toning, else pristine and intact. 96 black-and-white halftone plates included. Catalog of paintings and sculptures by 68 members of the San Francisco Art Association. Each plate is accompanied by a brief caption about the depicted artwork and artist. Also included are three essays, "California Artists of the San Francisco Art Association" by Erle Loran, "A Note on Climate and Culture" by Weldon Kees, and "Three Aspects of Contemporary Art" by Ernest Mundt.
