RARE, SIGNED, Very Good dark blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on front and tail of spine. Covers have moderate rubbing, several small scratches and tiny stains, and slight fraying to tips and head and tail of spine, else clean and intact. Pages have slight offsetting on endpapers and light age toning throughout, else pristine and intact. Several black-and-white printed photographs included. RARE in the trade. SIGNED by the author in blue ink on front free endpaper, "To Imogene Earl [Young?]--With love from a long-time friend, Harriet Williams Myers [signature]. An autobiography by Harriet Williams Myers (1867-1949), a California author. Harriet was inspired to write this account of her life and those of her brothers, Henry Smith Williams (1863-1943) and Edward Huntington Williams (1868-1944), after Henry's and Edward's unexpected passing. Henry was a physician, lawyer, and science writer. Edward was a science writer. Harriet and Edward appeared to have written mostly privately printed works.
