Covers have light to moderate edge wear, slightly bumped tips, a few small spots of rubbing along spine and bottom edge, fading along spine, and a crease on back outer joint, else clean and intact, binding tight. He is considered to be one of the few Chicano poets to receive recognition in the United States while writing in Spanish. Many of his works feature bilingual text in Spanish, English, and Nahuatl.
