A collection of four items relating to Carlos Villa, namely, a folding brochure, Villa's CV (stapled papers), Index to "Master Artist Tribute VII," and a CD in an envelope containing the "Master Artists Series." Brochure made of dark gray paper with no lettering on spine. Other items laid in brochure. Brochure has light rubbing, some sunning along spine, and in indentation in upper-left corner from staple on CV, else clean and intact. CV has a small stain on left edge, else clean and intact. Index has slight wrinkling, else pristine and intact. CD in envelope pristine and intact. Brochure: six pp. (three panels on each side of brochure). CV: three pp. Index: two pp. A unique collection of items relating to Carlos Villa. The artist's CV lists Villa's accomplishments. The Index lists artwork titles. The CD contains the "Master Artist Series." The brochure was published on the occasion of an exhibition that showed from January 13-March 4, 2007 at the Hearst Art Gallery, Saint Mary's College of California. The exhibition featured Carlos Villa (1936-2013), a Filipino-American artist, curator, and professor. Many of Villa's artworks address multiculturalism and racial identity. As a curator, Villa has focused on showcasing art by people of color and women. The brochure contains a poem by Bill Berkson, "She Hung Up," and a printed interview between Villa and Anna Novakov.
