Limited Printing, 2119 of 2,500. Very Good folio, 12 1/2" x 10", softcover in white wraps with a color illustration to front panel, blue lettering to front panel, and black lettering to spine. Light wear to tips, slightly starting spine, a few spots of interior soiling, otherwise, an attractive copy. Original glassine present in Very Good condition, minor sunning and small chips to spine, head, and tail. Good faux-vellum slipcase, no lettering, 1 3/4" tears to bottom opening, 3/4" tear to top opening, some exposed corners and tips, and minor sunning. 173 pp. Nearly all plates are protected with a laid-in tissue guard. This beautifully designed book brings together 67 works of the modern French artist and member of the avant-garde painters, Les Nabis, Édouard Vuillard, and showcases a variety of his lithography and etching work, from scenes of interiors and everyday life, to contrast-heavy pieces with text. Lithographs printed by the Parisian-based Mourlot Brothers (Mourlot Frères), who are known for being pioneers in lithography printing, their effort to foster relationships between artist and printer, and for their long-lasting collaboration with the French art review magazine, Verve.
