After traveling between Austria and the United States numerous times, Lehmbrock-Hirschinger finally settled in Sacramento. She is perhaps best-known for her paintings of landscapes from an aerial perspective, inspired by her frequent airplane trips. The catalog focuses on two series, her "Valley Paintings" and _Colorfields_ paintings. The Valley Paintings show semi-abstracted views of the Sacramento Valley from the air. Lehmbrock-Hirschinger explains she approached her _Colorfields_ paintings in a manner similar to that of the Valley Paintings, but the subject matter of _Colorfields_, while still alluding to landscapes and natural elements, is more abstracted. Includes statements by the artist. Heavy and oversized items may require additional shipping.
