Gray paper-covered boards backed with white paper in a beige paper dust jacket. Gilt lettering on spine. Gilt decorative lines on front and back covers near spine. Black lettering on dust jacket spine. Covers have light to moderate age toning (most noticeable on spine) and slight wear to extremities (most noticeable on bottom edge), else clean and intact, binding tight. Dust jacket has a few small chips and closed tears on edges and tips, moderate age toning, and a few small dampstains on spine, else clean and intact. Dust jacket protected in a paper-backed Mylar sleeve. Pages have light age toning, else pristine and intact. Replete with black-and-white plates. One plate is in color, the frontispiece. Front colophon: "This, the first edition of The Paintings of George Bellows consists of two thousand copies of which this is number 380." A catalogue of paintings by George Bellows (1882-1925), an American Realist painter. Most of the works shown herein are portraits. Most of the catalogue features textless, full-page, black-and-white plates of Bellows's work with brief text in the front, including an essay by George Bellows.
