No printed date but confirmed 1957. Most text in Japanese with some text in English; text is not bilingual. Green-gray paper wrappers with black lettering printed on front. No lettering to spine. "Touch Typewriting Chart" on beige cardstock included (measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/4"). Covers have browning (most noticeable along edges), chipping along spine, slight soiling, small stains and marks, and a crease at center running through entire booklet, and back cover is completely loose, else clean and intact. "Touch Typewriting Chart" has slight wear to extremities, browning, and a few former owner's marks, else clean and intact. Pages have the crease at center, browning, and a few former owner's marks, else clean and intact. Black-and-white illustrations included. A unique and charming instructional booklet for "Kurosawa's Typewriter." This is the 57th Edition. The fronts of the pages are meant to be read first, and once readers reach the back, the book can be flipped so the backs of the pages can be read. Most of the book is composed of exercises in English so users can practice their typewriting skills. The first part of the book, up to about Page 12, comprises instructional diagrams, illustrations of the different parts of the typewriter, and instructions for operation of the typewriter. Most, if not all, of the remainder of the book is dedicated to the typewriting exercises.
