A charming book aimed toward younger readers about the different Indigenous tribes and cultures in the United States. Author Holling C. Holling writes that this book was the product of consulting researchers, visiting museums and libraries, and interacting with Native Americans in-person. Holling states that the book does not list every tribe and instead is more of a general survey of Indigenous Peoples from different parts of the U.S. including tribes from the Pacific Northwest, Southwest and Plains. The book is composed of fictional stories that illustrate what the cultures and daily lives of these tribes are like. Illustrated by H. C. Holling and Lucille Holling.
