Published on the occasion of the exhibition "Dear Vocio: Photographs by Tina Modotti" at the University Art Gallery and Center for the Humanities, University of California, San Diego from November 8, 1996 to January 11, 1997. From the Foreword: "During the centennial of her birth, Tina Modotti's accomplishments as a photographer are being celebrated.
