Notes: A Very Good book in a Good dust jacket, Very Good overall, Limited Edition, one of 650 copies, 8vo, 9 1/2" x 7." Maroon cloth-covered boards in a beige-gray paper dust jacket. Gilt illustration of a Chinese dragon on front cover. Gilt lettering on book spine. Black lettering on front panel and dust jacket spine. Covers have slight fading at head and tail of spine and along top and bottom edges and minuscule wear to extremities, else clean and intact, binding tight. Dust jacket has several chips at edges, tips, and head of spine (with the largest measuring 1 1/4" x 1" at head of spine and 2" x 1" at top edge on back panel which have resulted in some loss of text), else clean and intact, not price-clipped. Dust jacket protected in a paper-backed mylar sleeve. Pages have a former owner's pencil inscription on front pastedown, light to moderate age toning, light foxing, and a subtle smoke smell, else pristine and intact. Replete with black-and-white in-text illustrations, plates, and maps. 102 pp., including Appendices, Selected Bibliography, Glossary, and Index, + plates + 5 pp. of advertisements for other books by Editions Henry Vetch in back.
