Notes: Very Good 7 1/4" x 7 1/2" art exhibition catalog in stiff pictorial wraps featuring the 1918 Egon Schiele painting, "Friends" to the front cover, orange lettering over black bar to spine, blind stamped with the San Francisco Palace of the Legion of Honor Library to cover and title page, the number "114" written in pen at top of cover, minor pressure bend to top of spine, otherwise perfectly clean, tightly bound, and unmarked throughout. One of 5000 copies issued in conjunction with the exhibition held at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston October 6 to November 6, 1960. 48 pp. including 4 color plates, and replete with many halftones. Also includes a Chronology, Bibliography, and Catalog, and features excerpts from Schiele's writings, Acknowledgements and Preface by Director Thomas Messer, and an Introduction by celebrated art historian, author, publisher and gallerist Otto Kallir.
