Notes: A Near Fine book in a Very Good dust jacket, Near Fine overall, First Edition, 4to, 11 1/4" x 10." Gray cloth-covered boards in a light gray paper dust jacket. Silver-foil lettering on book spine. White lettering on front panel and dust jacket spine. Covers have light fading along the edges, else pristine and intact, binding tight, sharp tips. Dust jacket has slight surface chipping and wrinkling at head and tail of spine and tips and a small closed tear at top edge of front panel, else clean and intact, not price-clipped. Dust jacket protected in a paper-backed mylar sleeve. Pages have light age toning (most noticeable along edges of endpapers), else pristine and intact. Principally caption-less printed black-and-white photographs. 143 pp., including illustrations and Selected Bibliography. Beautiful catalog of black-and-white photos by Ernst Haas (1921-1986), an Austrian-American photojournalist and photographer. Haas is perhaps best-known for his color photography. Presented herein is a unique look at 114 of Haas's black-and-white photos that he produced from 1945 to the 1960s. Photos selected and edited by Jim Hughes and Alexander Haas.
