This catalog was created in conjunction with the exhibition, "Figures Environments" held at the Walker Art Center May 15 to June 30, 1970, that traveled to the Cincinnati Art Museum October 2 to November 1, 1970, and the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts December 13, 1970 to January 17, 1971. From the Introduction: "This exhibition presents some recent attitudes about the figure, beyond those found in traditional techniques...Works shown are essentially three-dimensional, and many strain traditional definitions of sculpture...Common historical and stylistic affinities relate the work of some artists in the exhibition, but no case can be made for a single style or philosophy. This is a curious, and on occasion eccentric, assortment of approaches." Heavy and oversized items may require additional shipping.
