Notes: Very Good first edition thus, 4to 9" x 6", staplebound script in English and Italian for the libretto by D'Annunzio, grey wraps with some sunning, some oxidation to staples but holding, crease to bottom tip, internally clean. Gabriele D'Annunzio (1863 – 1938) was an Italian ultra-nationalist, poet, playwright, orator, journalist, aristocrat, and army officer during World War I. Riccardo Zandonai (1883 – 1944) was an Austria-Hungarian immigrant to Italy, an accomplished composer, for whom this was his most famous work. Scarce in the trade.
