First Trade Edition. Near Fine dark blue cloth-covered boards, silver-foil lettering on front and spine. Covers have a few small marks to front and back, else pristine and intact, binding tight. Near Fine metallic medium blue paper dust jacket, black-and-white illustration of Disko Bay, Greenland on front panel, medium blue lettering on front panel, white lettering to spine. Dust jacket has a closed wear measuring about 1/2" at head of spine and a few small bumps and slight wear to extremities, else clean and intact. Dust jacket protected in a paper-backed Mylar sleeve. Pages pristine and intact. Replete with photographic plates in black-and-white and sepia tones. Beautiful catalogue of printed photos by Lynn Davis (b. 1944), an American photographer perhaps best-known for her large-scale black-and-white photos. Depicted herein are Davis's photos showing "monuments" of both man and nature. She photographed such monuments in Egypt, Australia, Cambodia, Burma, Thailand, Syria, Jordan, Turkey, Yemen, Lebanon, Greenland, and the United States. Among the subjects are the Pyramids of Giza, Cambodian temples, and icebergs in Greenland.
