Warp to front panel, cocking to spine, delicate spine and pages, some black spotting and foxing to outer panels and spine, wear and peeling to outer edges and edges near the half-binding with chip to front panel, and large chip to head. Minor interior and exterior soiling, light foxing, first front page after endpaper loose but laid-in, pen inscription to same page, missing plate 2: "Edward Prince of Wales afterwards Edward VI," edges of pages worn and fragile, overall, age-appropriate toning and wear. Unpaginated. Includes 53 reproductions of German-Swiss Northern Renaissance painter and printmaker, Hans Holbein's portraits of illustrious personages, such as Queen Jane Seymour, wife of Henry VIII, and William Warham, Archbishop of Canterbury.
