Notes: Very Good 9" x 8" perfectbound off-white wraps, black lettering to cover, age toned at edges, protected by Good publisher's semi-transparent glacine dustjacketshowing chips and tears to edges, wrinkling to back, rubbing to front, small dots of ink not affecting book cover. Book is internally clean, tightly bound, and unmarked. Unpaginated, replete with black-and-white images of 16 of Henri Matisse's sculptural work, each with two views and accompanied by a numbered Catalogue. Also a segment featuring reproductions of The Dance, Eleven Lithographs, which were put on stone by Matisse in 1931/32 but not printed until 1967. Introductory essay by William Tucker titled, "The Sculpture of Matisse". Includes an inserted copy of the Catalogue with written notes. This book was published on the occasion of an exhibition of the sculpture of Henri Matisse held at the Victor Waddington Gallery in London 12 June to 12 July, 1969.
