A handsome copy, hard to find in this condition.;Tivadar Csontváry Kosztka (1853 – 1919)was a Hungarian avant-garde painter who traveled a good portion of the globe and, like many in the movement, saw art as a means of liberation from oppressive systems. Though he was considered an eccentric in his native country for his strict lifestyle (he didn't drink, smoke or, eat meat), he gained recognition for his wholely unique style of expression. His paintings are passionate, dynamic, and for him, were a sort of spiritual undertaking.
