Ephemera, a typed letter, laid in front. Near Fine black paper wrappers with no lettering on spine. Covers have fading and offsetting on front, back, and spine (spine has turned brown), else clean and intact, binding tight, sharp tips. Pages pristine and intact. Replete with illustrations in black-and-white and color. Beautiful exhibition published on the occasion of a show that was held at the Saint Louis Art Museum from June 30-August 28, 1994. The catalogue features a series of sculptures known as "The Personages" that Louise Bourgeois (1911-2010), a French-American artist and sculptor, made between the mid-1940s and mid-1950s. The sculptures in this series resemble abstract, monolithic figures. Laid-in ephemera included, a typed and signed letter on white stationery. The stationery belong to Constance R. Caplan and is dated February 7, 1997. Caplan, who has signed the letter as "Connie in blue pen, writes to Anthony W. Deering, president and CEO of the Rouse Company. In the letter, Caplan thanks Deering and the Rouse Company for helping to pay off the debt owed by the "Museum" she works for after it acuired the Lucas Collection. This copy possibly belonged to Deering.
