Full red leather-covered boards in a multicolored pictorial paper dust jacket with wrap-around facsimile illustration of a ledger book. Gilt lettering on front cover. No lettering on blue dust jacket spine. The blue of the spine may be original or a result of fading. Covers pristine and intact, binding tight, sharp tips. Dust jacket has minuscule wear to extremities (and possible fading to spine but this may be part of the facsimile illustration), else pristine and intact. Pages pristine and intact. Replete with color illustrations and plates. Contains full-page plates of ledger art. 67 pp., including illustrations, plates, and Appendix. Beautiful monograph about the Julian Scott Ledger, a ledger book collected by American artist Julian Scott (1846-1901) that contains fine examples of Kiowa ledger art.
