Notes: Near Fine First Edition copy in a Very Good dust jacket, 4to 11 3/4" x 9 1/2", black cloth and gilt lettering to spine, some bumping to tips, head, and foot. Pictorial dust jacket with edgewear, indentation, likely a scrape, to front of wrap that also left mark on front board, mylar-protected. 12 full-color plates (both sides) and b/w illustrations in text. A catalog Raisonne of Claude Flight, (1881-1955) who stood at the center of the British linocut movement of the 1920s and 30s. A teacher at the Grosvenor School of Modern Art, which produced such artists as Cyril E. Power (1872-1951); Sybil Andrews (1898-1992); Lill Tschudi (b.1911); Dorrit Black (1891-1951); Ethel Spowers (1890-1947); and Eveline Syme (1888-1961), all forerunners in the Art Deco Movement, 205pp. Overall, a very nice copy of an exceptional collection.
