Published on the occasion of the exhibition "Lucas Samaras: Chairs and Drawings" held at The Pace Gallery in New York from February 6 to March 7, 1987. From "Poetic Justice": "(A) Apply to the new drawings and chairs by Lucas Samaras the function of an emetic prescribed by a doctor who may not mean you any good. They work in a specific way, as a purgative for anxieties, or more exactly like a vaccination against the fear of pain, laceration, death - they give you little doses, hopefully build immunities." A beautiful and unusually produced exhibit catalog. Heavy and oversized items may require additional shipping.
