This catalog was published in conjunction with an exhibition of Matin Gustavsson's work held at Malmo Konstmuseum February 8 to March 10, 2003 that then traveled to the Konsthallen-Bohuslans Museum from September 6 to October 2, 2003. From Annika Ohrner's essay: "As the title suggests, the work is a gospel. The narrative joins the two universes of religion and homoeroticiscm, the separation of which has been, and still is, preached. It is also an autobiographical meditation and a road movie. Hardly a Biblical story, but a secularised and grandiose statement." Acquired from the private library of photorealist, Robert Bechtle and art historian, Whitney Chadwick.
